WOMAN FOUND DEAD IN HER VEHICLE, SUSPECT(S) SOUGHT

Nelspruit – Police in Mpumalanga are looking for the suspect(s) who murdered a 33-year-old woman on 02 July 2021, at Machadodorp.

According to information reported, police were informed of a vehicle parked next to the road in a veld near Rietfontein Farm with a woman inside, seemingly unconscious. They (police) responded and rushed to the scene, whereupon arrival, found a yellow VW Polo with a woman in the driver’s seat with gunshot wounds.

Medical personnel was notified about the incident and on arrival, the woman was certified dead. She was identified as Nompumelelo Patricia Malaza. According to her family, Nompumelelo, who was employed by a reputable bank in Sabie, was on her way to Carolina to visit her brother.

A case of murder was opened and the matter is currently being investigated. The motive for the killing is unknown at this stage as nothing was stolen from the vehicle. Her belongings including, wallets as well as her handbag and a laptop were found inside the vehicle.

Police call on members of the public with information that can lead to the arrest of the suspect(s) to contact Detective Sergeant Busani Johannes Mnisi on 082 798 0758 or call the Crime Stop number at 08600 10111. Alternatively, members of the public can send information via MYSAPSAPP.
