Three trucks were involved in a fatal accident on the N4 highway between Airlie and Malaga Hotel near Emgwenya, resulting in the death of two people.
According to reports, the accident occurred in the afternoon on 4 May 2023 when the three trucks collided with each other, causing extensive damage to the vehicles and blocking the highway. Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene, but unfortunately, two people lost their lives in the accident.
The identities of the victims have not yet been released, and it’s unclear whether there were any other injuries. The cause of the accident is still under investigation by the local authorities.
The N4 highway was closed for several hours while the wreckage was cleared and investigations were conducted. Motorists were advised to use alternative routes, and traffic was diverted to ease congestion.
