Speedy reaction by Kabokweni police led to the recovery of a stolen truck and the arrest of two suspects aged 23 years and 28 years at Nkohlakalo next to Kabokweni this afternoon Wednesday 26 April 2023 at about 13:15.
Members received information about the vehicle reported stolen in Masoyi and immediately launched a lookout.
Within a short space of time, members spotted the vehicle matching the description of the stolen vehicle.
The vehicle was thoroughly checked and was positively identified stolen.
The two suspects were arrested for possession of suspected stolen vehicle.
Police can not rule out possibilities that a charge of theft of motor vehicle might be added pending investigation.
The Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Lieutenant General Semakaleng Daphney Manamela commended members for their speedy reaction and hope this might be a breakthrough to vehicle theft syndicate.
