Sebenza Your Way To Financial Freedom – Goal-Setting Through Youth Unemployment
Sebenza Your Way To Financial Freedom - Goal-Setting Through Youth Unemployment
A GirlBoss comes from an empowered place and we believe that “Each One Teach One”
will see us take our destiny in terms of food security, job creation and saying NO to
violence, forward.
During the Covid Lockdown Period when all options closed in on us. Unemployment rates
sky-rocketed. Hunger intensified. Social ills grip our communities by the neck and we have
to find solutions ourselves.
“Sebenza Your Way To Financial Freedom – Goal-Setting Through Youth Unemployment”
Canpaign sees community members being empowered by other community members.
GirlBoss South Africa has partnered with Sunrise Academy to bring Ignition Boot Camps
around the country, beginning with the Greater Gauteng area as we launch the campaign.
Our Call To Action : Sebenza Your Way to Financial Freedom, Girl! – You Possess The Power
to Achieve – Believe it!. Will see us collaborate with interested brands to begin the
conversation of Economic Freedom with young girls between the ages of 16 and 25-yearsold at community level.
Freedom is important because for as long as we are free we have a flame burning in us
that is our guiding compass to ensuring a better tomorrow.
Through our campaign, we will have three phases wherein we begin our interaction with
girls in our communities. As a brand that is an empowerment platform with a body and
hair care range, accessories and merchandise, that speak to living your life your way. We
celebrate uniqueness and we have a global vision of equal access to opportunities.
When we listen and we share we inspire each other. We teach each other. We learn from
and with each other.
We are offering girls between the ages of 16 and 25 years-old an opportunity to train, be
mentored and go through practical job-shadowing to be fully equipped to start their own
Network and Pop Up Budiness.
We see Network Marketing Business Flourishing all around us and these are not accessible
to our youth because of the joining fees associated. Most network marketing products are
international brands selling lifestyle products that are pitched at target audiences that
our youth don’t necessarily fall under.
GirlBoss is associable because it offers an empowerment opportunity for our girls. I
Guateng alone during the Covid Lockdown period over 52,000 girls fell pregant and sexual
violence is sited as a major contributing factor to that problem.
This further exacerbates high unemployment levels with young girls becoming mothers from as
young as 10 years old, with no option to return to school for various reasons.
The Youth of 1976 had a cause to fight for. Youth, being it boys or girls, have a cause to fight for
today and that economic freedom. Through economic freedom we can create and make
products while accessing a foundation such as the one that GirlBoss is offering.
I am The CEO Of My Life – Goal-Setting Through Youth Unemployment” in our collective quest to
create thriving community economies wherein everyone has the access to participate.
Sunrise Academy is a product of Bhala Africa that offers Empowerment and Skills Development
Ignition Camps for Individuals and Teams. During 2020 and 2021 GirlBoss and Sunrise Academy
piloted the GirlPower Empowerment and Skills Camps in Eswatini and Nigeria wherein 1000 girls
were empowered through in-person and hybrid content. Our partner in Nigeria was iRead
Network and this community focused “Leveraging Innovation In Communities (LINC)” is a United
States Government funded Grant programme under the Mandela Washington Fellowship for
Young African Leaders (YALI) that gave us the wind to reach more communities.
Together with your network, we can take this initiative forward and give our youth options to
curb high unemployment and poverty.
The one thing that makes the divide bigger is access to opportunities.
