PREMIER MTSHWENI-TSIPANE’S CONDOLENCES TO THE BEREAVED FAMILY OF DJ VICTOR ROSE AND RISE FM
Mpumalanga Premier, Ms Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsipane is deeply saddened about the death of Rise FM’s Breakfast Show co-presenter, Senzo ‘Victor Rose Jnr’ Majola. The sad news of his passing was announced by the Station’s Management on Friday. He co-hosted the breakfast show with Jennifer ‘JT’ Lubisi.
Premier Mtshweni-Tsipane says Victor Rose Jnr was synonymous with the aspirations of the citizens in the province of the rising sun. She says since taking over the breakfast show as a co-host, alongside JT, Victor Rose Jnr lived up to his expectation of inspiring the nation through thought-provoking topics and music entertainment on Rise FM. She lamented his death as a major blow. “We are still struggling to come to terms with Victor Rose Jnr’s passing. His on air antics of stating his viewpoints on very sensitive subjects, was a draw card to the station. We always looked forward to the next broadcast,” the Premier explained.
Mtshweni-Tsipane says Victor Rose Jnr has left an indelible mark in the radio industry within the few years of his career, and urged the youth to follow in his footsteps. “We are awe struck by his remarkable contribution in the broadcasting industry. His voice and that of JT, inspired the citizens of Mpumalanga, at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. The best way to honor him, is for the youth to follow in his footsteps, through making a contribution in the province’s economic recovery initiatives,” the Premier emphasized.
Victor Rose Jnr’s death comes at the time when the country is mourning the passing of Pearl Shongwe of Metro FM, this week. “On behalf of the Provincial Government and the citizens of Mpumalanga, I convey our heartfelt condolences to the families of the two incredible broadcasters. May their souls rest in peace,” Mtshweni-Tsipane said.
