PASSING OF SK MAHLANGU (DEPUTY CHAIRPERSON OF AMANZUNZA SOKHULUMI TRADITIONAL COUNCIL)
Statement from Traditional Council
On behalf of the Sokhulumi Traditional Authority and iKosi uMkhambi II, it is with great sorrow and sadness that I announce the passing on, of our Traditional Council Deputy Chairperson, ubaba uScalaba “SK” Mahlangu.
SK succumbed to his illness in the early hours of this morning, 12 May 2021 at the newly renovated Bronkhorstspruit Hospital.
He served in many capacities including being the convener of Amakhosana and was the link between the community, government and the Traditional Authority.
He represented amaNdebele as a whole participating on behalf of Sokhulumi in developmental structures that are led by Ingwenyama uMakhosonke ll. He worked tirelessly and passionately to forge unity among the Ndebele people as a whole representing Nzunza Sokhulumi. We are indebted to his wisdom in what Sokhulumi community has achieved.
He served the Sokhulumi Traditional Authority with distinction.
