Two foreign Nationals were arrested during intelligent driven disruptive operation conducted by the Hawks Secunda based Serious Corruption, Serious Commercial, Serious Organised Crime. Secunda k9, LCRC, Stratcoin Security,HSC Security at Evander Taxi Rank on Thursday, 20 April 2023 hereby intrapment was done.
It is alleged that the Foreign Nationals approached Spar Security guard to Organise stolen goods from spar storeroom to deliver in their shops at the value of R250 000.00 for payment of R100 000.00.
The Security guard reported the matter to his boss who reported the matter to the Hawks for further investigation. Intrapment was set whereby the suspects were arrested during the delivery of the items required. The groceries, Cash money and vehicle used during the commission of crime were seized for further investigation. The suspects will appear before the Evander Magistrate Court on Friday, 21 April 2023. Investigation continues.
