CALL FOR PUBLIC COMMENTS:
Division of Revenue Bill, [B6 – 2022] and Mpumalanga Appropriation Bill, [B2 – 2022]
The Portfolio Committee on Premier’s Office, Finance; Economic Development and Tourism and its Chairperson, Hon TM Makaringe, MPL, hereby invite members of the public, interested parties and stakeholders wishing to make comments or inputs, on the above mentioned Bills.
Purpose of the Division of Revenue Bill, [B6 – 2022]
To provide for the equitable division of revenue raised nationally among the national, provincial and local spheres of government for the 2022/23 financial year; the determination of each province’s equitable share; allocations to provinces, local government and municipalities from national government’s equitable share; the responsibilities of all three spheres pursuant to such division and allocations; and to provide for matters connected therewith.
Purpose of the Mpumalanga Appropriation Bill, [B2 – 2022]
To appropriate money from the Provincial Revenue Fund for the requirements of the Province for the 2022/23 financial year; to prescribe conditions for the spending of funds withdrawn for the 2023/24 financial year before the commencement of the Mpumalanga Appropriation Act for the 2023/24 financial year; and to provide for matters incidental thereto.
