LAST SALUTE FOR MPUMALANGA STATION COMMANDER
Police Minister Gen Bheki Cele and Deputy Minister Cassel Mathale are together with the SAPS Top brass today paying their last respects at the #FinalSalute official funeral service of fallen @SAPoliceService member Colonel Beauty Marivate, who was killed in the line of duty.
On 30th of December 2021, Colonel Marivate who was the station commander of Elukwatini SAPS met her untimely death when she responded to a business robbery, where she was fatally wounded during an exchange of fire between suspects and the police.
Eight suspects have been arrested so far for her murder and business robbery. Police are hot on the heels for more suspects believed to have been part of the armed gang that robbed the local supermarket where Col Marivate was gunned down.
