KWAMHLANGA: On the 26 May 2023 The Mpumalanga Provincial Government in conjunction with Nkangala District Municipality (NDM), Thembisile Hani Municipality and Dr JS Moroka Municipality celebrated with the cast of Komkhulu at KwaMhlanga Community Hall.
The Komkhulu is the first isiNdebele television drama which is broadcast on Mzansi Magic DStv Channel 161, every Sunday at 20:00.
Komkhulu tells the story of a battle for a rich chiefdom ruled by Chief Masoso Mbonani, a young Ndebele king in Mpumalanga.
With the backdrop of a chiefdom that is one of the richest in the province, Chief Masoso’s, played by Mandla “Ntjebe.Com” Mnguni life is at stake if he cannot produce an heir to the throne. The dynamic and charming king turns into a desperate man as he struggles to find a way to protect his chiefdom and secure the future of his dynasty, before he risks others taking control of the throne.
Komkhulu is a tremendous series steeped in mysticism, chronicling the rise and fall of one of the most famous and powerful chiefdoms, while reminiscent of the most beloved cultural folk tales.
